Fast Facts

  • It’s the fast-moving tidal current of Talbot Bay that pushes the water through two narrow gorges of the McLarty Ranges, forming the rapids that produce the horizontal waterfalls.
  • Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures works with the weather and as such, is a seasonal experience, generally operating between March and November.
  • You may have heard of a king tide, but have you heard of a neap tide? Neap tides result in very little difference between high and low tides. Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures choose not to operate on neap tides as we want to give guests the best experience possible.
