The Charles Darwin, Darwin Harbour Cruises’ impressive steel-hulled tri-level catamaran that delights up to 250 guests with spectacular sunset views from the waters of Darwin Harbour, is back on the water after a hiatus for maintenance.
Darwin Harbour Cruises, part of Journey Beyond, will be recommencing its popular dinner cruises, along with its Gaze and Graze sunset cruise option from 12 June 2023.
In the interim, the company has been operating limited-time Brunch ‘n’ Bubbles and sunset cruises aboard Tumlaren, a 20-metre, beautifully restored open-air schooner, with a combination of seated and standing room. Tumlaren will now revert to being available for private charter bookings.
“Our cruise experiences on board Tumlaren generated a lot of interest, with our guests enjoying the open-air, intimate nature of the vessel,” says Cesar Piotto, Executive General Manager of Attractions and Dining at Journey Beyond. “We are excited though, about having the Charles Darwin back in the water so we can provide both open-air and air-conditioned decks from which our guests can take in those dazzling Darwin sunsets, while they dine or graze.”
Darwin Harbour Cruises is also offering a special cruise on Territory Day on 1 July, where sunset views will be followed by the fireworks display. “Watching the fireworks with a complimentary beverage in hand is a lovely way to celebrate the Territory,” says Piotto.
The regular Charles Darwin Dinner Cruise includes:
Priced at $130 per person for an adult, $120 for seniors, and $80 for children ages 4-14 years.
The regular Gaze and Graze Sunset Cruise includes:
